Terms and Conditions of Service — Japan de Melon


1. Booking Confirmation

Once payment is completed via Stripe, the booking is confirmed for the selected date.
The client is responsible for checking weather conditions, physical fitness, and personal availability to attend the tour.

2. Cancellations and Refunds

Japan de Melon does not offer refunds for voluntary cancellations.
Once the booking is confirmed, the amount paid is non-refundable under any circumstances, except in cases of force majeure or extreme weather.

3. Rescheduling or Refund Due to Weather

If the tour cannot take place due to severe weather, municipal warnings, or force majeure, the tour will still be conducted in cases of light rain or light snow. Otherwise, the following options will be offered:

  • Date change at no additional cost.
  • Full refund of the amount paid.

If the tour can proceed with modifications, the route may be adjusted to maintain operational safety.
Client safety is a priority, and the guide may alter routes, paths, or tour dynamics whenever deemed necessary.

4. Safety and Liability

The client agrees to follow the guide’s instructions at all times during the activity.
Japan de Melon is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or loss of personal belongings caused by negligence or reckless behavior.

5. Image Use

Photographs or video recordings may be taken during the tour.
By participating, the client agrees to their possible appearance in documentary or promotional content.
Anyone who does not wish to appear must notify the guide before the experience begins.

6. Data Privacy

Information provided by the client will be used exclusively for contact, booking, and internal administration purposes.
It will not be shared with third parties except for payment processors and legal requirements.

7. Operational Changes

The itinerary may be modified due to weather, visitor density, or other factors that may compromise the quality or safety of the experience.

8. Physical Products: No Returns Policy

All physical products sold by Japan de Melon — including mystery boxes, omamori, goshuinchō, premium boxes, cultural souvenirs, and limited items — are final sales and are not eligible for returns or refunds.

Due to their handcrafted, spiritual, limited, or direct-import nature from temples and shrines, returns are not accepted under any circumstances, including:

  • Personal dislike of flavors, colors, or styles
  • Expectations differing from the received content
  • Customer decisions made after purchase
  • Unwanted gifts
  • Purchases made in error by the customer

9. Unique or Limited Edition Products Policy

Many products offered by Japan de Melon are:

  • Handcrafted
  • Blessed at temples
  • One-of-a-kind editions
  • Religious or cultural items
  • Items obtained directly from shrines

For this reason, there are no replacements, exchanges, or refunds for natural variations or minor differences in color, size, texture, or design.


10. Custom Preparation and Assembly

Most products require:

  • Manual selection
  • Customized assembly
  • Ceremonial preparation
  • Individual curation, piece by piece

For this reason, once payment is made, cancellations or changes are not accepted, even if the order has not yet been shipped.


11. International Shipping and Customs

Japan de Melon is not responsible for:

  • Customs holds
  • Customs fees or local taxes
  • Package rejection by postal authorities
  • Shipping delays
  • Packages opened for inspection
  • Package refusal by the customer
  • Losses caused by incorrect address provided by the customer

In any of these cases, no refunds or free reshipments will be issued.


12. Shipping Damage or Postal Handling

All packages are shipped with proper packaging and protection.
Japan de Melon cannot control courier handling.
Therefore:

  • No refunds are issued for damage during shipping.
  • Products damaged by courier handling are not replaced.

If the client wishes to file a claim, it must be handled directly with the shipping company.


13. Mystery Boxes and Surprise Products Content

Mystery boxes contain a curated mix of Japanese items. The client acknowledges that:

  • Contents are a surprise and vary from box to box.
  • Specific items are not guaranteed.
  • No claims based on personal preferences are accepted.
  • No partial or full refunds or exchanges are available.

14. Religious and Spiritual Products (Omamori, Goshuin, etc.)

Items originating from temples and shrines:

  • Are sacred objects.
  • Cannot be returned, replaced, or refunded.
  • Cannot be exchanged after purchase.

If the client wishes to dispose of an omamori, it must be returned to a temple for ritual disposal. Japan de Melon does not accept used omamori.


15. Address Errors, Failed Delivery, or Unclaimed Packages

If a package is returned due to customer error or inaction, the customer must pay for reshipping. No refunds are issued under any circumstances.


16. Customer Acknowledgment

By making a purchase, the customer agrees to all the policies stated above.

当ショップが販売するフィジカル商品(ミステリーボックス、お守り、御朱印帳、寺院関連商品、限定品、手作り品、文化品など)は、
その性質上、すべて返品不可・交換不可・返金不可となります。

以下のような理由による返品・返金・交換の要求には一切応じられません:

  • イメージや好みの相違
  • 味・色・デザインなどの個人差による不満
  • 内容物が期待と異なるという理由
  • 購入者都合によるキャンセル
  • 誤購入
  • 海外配送中の破損・凹み・箱潰れ
  • 税関での開封・遅延・没収・追加課税

すべての商品は丁寧に検品・梱包しておりますが、配送会社の取り扱いについては当ショップは一切責任を負いません。

住所不備・受取拒否・長期不在などによる返送が生じた場合、再配送には実費送料をご負担いただきます。
返金対応は一切行いません。
